BoxBack is an iPhone app from MicroMacro Technology for managing household returns. This policy explains what information BoxBack is designed to handle and how that information is used.

Information You Add

BoxBack stores the return details you choose to add, including store names, item names, drop-off or pickup details, return deadlines, notes, item photos, return screenshots, detected codes, and receipt photos.

How BoxBack Uses Information

BoxBack uses your information to show your active returns, display return codes, schedule drop-off or pickup reminders, save receipt proof, keep completed return history, and support optional Plus features such as iCloud sync and household sharing.

Storage and Sync

The free version is designed around local storage on your iPhone. If you turn on Plus features such as iCloud sync or household sharing, return information may be stored in and synced through Apple iCloud services associated with your Apple account.

Photos, Camera, Notifications, and iCloud

BoxBack asks for device permissions only when needed for app features, such as choosing photos, taking receipt or item photos, sending deadline reminders, or using iCloud sync and sharing. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings.

No Retailer Account Login

BoxBack does not require you to sign in to Amazon, Target, Walmart, or another retailer. The app works from the screenshots, photos, and details you choose to save.

Purchases

BoxBack Plus purchases are handled by Apple. MicroMacro Technology does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

Sharing

If you use household sharing, the people you invite may be able to see return information included in the shared list, including photos, codes, and receipt proof. Only share with people you trust. If you leave a shared list, BoxBack is designed to restore your own local return list on that device.
